ADVANCE TAU DLS – New EN-C two-liner

In recent years, a number of EN-C two-liners have appeared on the market that offered little real advantage over traditional designs. We deliberately took the time to develop a completely new product – precisely tailored to the needs of the target group and perfectly positioned between SIGMA and OMEGA in our product range.

The name TAU also reflects this: a letter of the Greek alphabet between Σ and Ω. With the TAU, we are expanding the performance segment with a refined EN-C two-liner featuring an exceptionally pleasant and sporty handling. Its aspect ratio of 6.5 and 73 cells underline its high-performance ambitions, making it the wing of choice for ambitious XC pilots who want top-level performance. The TAU will be launched in five sizes, built with our latest DLS technology and will be ready for the next XC season.

Coming in at 800 grams lighter than the Photon, the new Lyght offers the highest performance lightweight experience possible in the Sport (EN C) class.

Designed for pilots who want the improved inflation, agility and handling inherent in light wings, the Lyght is a solid and dependable wing for big mountain adventures.

The Lyght is solid throughout the speed range. It is trimmed for safety & ease of use. The performance of the wing is immediately apparent - we have never flown an EN C wing with so much glide. It is a true 2-Liner wing, allowing the pilot direct angle of attack control.

Incorporating many design features of the Enzo and our highest performance wings, the glide and speed of the Lyght is at the top of its class. Lightweight construction improves the inflation and handling characteristics, and the improved sail cohesion and moderate aspect ratio makes it manageable and comfortable to fly in turbulent air. In terms of speed, it is the fastest EN C wing we have ever built, the top speed is only slightly less than the Zeno2. Importantly it is solid and comfortable at these speeds and the winglets improve the roll stability for higher levels of efficiency in accelerated flight.

At SKYMAN we have put our heart and soul into the development of the CrossAlps². Markus Gründhammer and Toma Coconea both contributed significantly to its design and realisation. This has resulted in many innovative details, as well as its overall quality and performance.

CrossAlps² has special line loops, that reduce the air drag and special flares to evenly distribute load on the canopy. Precise stability tapes distribute tension evenly, thus giving stability and high performance when gliding. CrossAlps² can optionally be equipped with very light, aerodynamic Dyneema risers.

XC pilots who go paragliding in rough terrain, will not want to fly without these extras anymore.

The SCALA 2 is the more heavy and robust version of the SCALA 2 light, which has been developed for hike and fly races like the Redbull X-alps. These are super long distance endurance competitions. The athletes need a wing that is not only superbly performing, but also is very easy in every matter. They need to trust the wing’s stability and safety when they are tired and not that concentrated.

The SCALA 2 is the evolution of the first version of the SCALA. We tuned on many screws to make it even better in performance, easyness and simplicity. The SCALA 2 is a high level EN C class wing! With it’s high aspect ratio and performance the SCALA 2 stands out of the C class. It is a kind of game changer.

But even having that very elegant high aspect ratio, this wing is really easy in every matter! The outstanding feature is the extreme stable airfoil. As more turbulent it gets as more advantage you have with the SCALA 2!

As the “heavy version” of the SCALA 2 light, the SCALA 2 did not have min weight as a main priority, so it has heavier material and and more and longer rods all over the topsail.

“The design goal was not to push to the absolute limits of the “C” category, but to make a real XC wing that would be a natural successor to the Bonanza 2. It was also important to consider pilots progressing from high B wings like the Explorer series. By realising the Bonanza 3 as a 2 liner and with the Wave Leading Edge technology from the Boomerang 12, we were actually able to reduce the aspect ratio slightly, which makes the wing nicer to fly and more accessible. Of course, to fly this wing pilots still need to be well-practiced in active recovery techniques for 2 liners.”

Made for big XCs and serial-class racing, our high-performance EN-C two-liner is pure performance and a joy to fly!

The CURE 3 is our cutting-edge, high-performance two-liner EN-C. A product of the BGD Performance project research, it shares family traits and a design philosophy with the DIVA 2, BASE 3 and BREEZE, which means top-of-class performance combined with excellent passive safety and feeling. It was designed to take on the best of the EN-C serial-class racing machines, so speed and glide are high priorities. What makes it stand out is that it does this, and has great handling. Small brake inputs have an immediate effect, and the CURE 3 has a really nice turn.

It has a very fast top speed and excellent stability at speed, with that satisfying and reassuring ‘tightening-up’ feeling when you push the bar. It’s great for thermalling! It can make flat, efficient turns but also loves to be banked up, to dig into those ripper cores and climb out like a rocket.

And boy, this wing can glide … Bruce described it as having a ‘never-landing feeling’. You know, when it’s late in the day, the last rays of sun on the hills, you’re soaring the ridges, sniffing out lift, but with the CURE 3 it’s relaxing as you just don’t feel like you’ll go down.

BGD LYNX 2 - From £3645

For lone-wolf adventurers or XC gurus, the LYNX 2 offers top performance in a bite-sized package. The LYNX 2 is our lightweight EN-C wing. It has excellent cross-country performance with a high comfort factor for its class. It is made to inspire confidence in even the strongest flying conditions, and to keep you safe while you find your wild side in the mountains. We chose a 2.5-liner hybrid design for this wing for several reasons: a fully fledged two-liner would need more supporting rods in the sail, leading to a larger pack volume. We wanted the LYNX 2 to be easy to pack down super small for hiking and racing. The Lynx 2 is also much easier to ‘mush’ in for a safe top-landing in a wild place, as the three-liner layout in the glider centre gives a large brake range and forgiving stall characteristics. It’s also amazingly easy to launch.

CODEX - Accessible two-liner performance

The EN C cross-country paraglider CODEX is a well-balanced, semi-light two-liner. It impresses with high performance, which is very easy to utilise due to the low aspect ratio of 6.1 (flat).

Performance meets confidence. The CODEX is a new innovation in the EN C class that incorporates the valued features of our EN D two-liner XENON. In terms of glide performance and top speed, it sits right at the top of its class. At the same time, with a moderate aspect ratio of 6.1, the CODEX is an EN C cross-country glider with a feel-good factor. Along the entire speed range, it glides very efficiently and is resistant to collapses. This is why the full performance potential can be utilised even during epic days in active air. The idea is flying really far in a relaxed way!

NOVA VORTEX - £4809

The VORTEX is the lightweight champion in the EN-C 2-liner class. It excels in everything that defines efficient XC flying: high performance combined with minimal pilot workload.

Performance meets simplicity. The handling is optimized for efficient climbing, while the low mass of the wing is a noticeable advantage. The result is a glider that effortlessly takes advantage of even the slightest lift with flat turns and minimal sink rate, while also centering easily in tight and strong thermals.

Efficient B-Control. The B-control system is the most direct NOVA has ever achieved. Even small inputs of a few millimeters allow precise directional adjustments. Pitch control is highly effective, and the pressure on the rear risers enables you to rest your arms on long glides without slowing the glider down.

The uncomplicated companion. The VORTEX was designed not only for high real-world performance but also for practical usability. From easy launch characteristics to packing convenience, every detail was considered. Nitinol rods at the leading edge are more resistant to bending, allowing the glider to be packed smaller. The VORTEX comes standard with the Concertina Bag Light, but you can also use a regular inner bag. With its ultralight construction, the VORTEX weighs just 3.1 kg in size XXXS (55-75 kg take-off weight), making it one of the lightest in its class.

Ozone Alpina 5 - From £4880

Based upon the 2-line Delta, the 5th generation of the Alpina has been designed to be the reference in comfort, ease of use and performance. The Alpina retains its legendary agility and playfulness in a compact and light package, with improved full speed efficiency and control.

Designed for intermediate to advanced level pilots wanting to evolve, it is the ideal stepping stone into 2-line technology. Suitable for those moving up from a high-B and for more experienced pilots wanting 2-liner control and performance with a lower aspect ratio for unparalleled solidity and ease of use.

The Alpina is our lowest aspect ratio 2-liner light wing. Derived from the Lyght and developed using all of the knowledge gained from years of competition experience and 2-line technical know how, the Alpina benefits from a proven light internal structure design, and is a solid compact platform ideal for XC flying in the most remote locations. The 2-line design allows for direct angle of attack control and reduced line drag for exceptional good levels of performance and ease of use never seen before in such a low aspect ratio concept.

The Alpina retains the ease of use and True Performance characteristics of its predecessor but with easier inflation characteristics and full speed control. It rises fast and easy in nil-wind and does not overshoot in strong winds. Thanks to the 2 line design, accelerated control is enhanced and intuitive allowing you to maintain higher speeds through turbulence with full angle of attack control.

Compared to the Delta 5, the lighter sail of the Alpina 5 inflates faster on the ground for easier take offs and a higher level of feel in the air and a more responsive reaction to brake inputs and slighty higher level of overall agility.

The Alpina 5 features risers with adjustable B-handle heights, enhancing ergonomic control to accommodate pilots of all shapes and sizes.
